Test Preparation
Fasting required (10-12 hours): Blood Sugar Fasting, Lipid Profile, Glucose Tolerance Test (GTT), Iron Studies, Insulin Fasting.
You can drink plain water during fasting. Avoid tea, coffee, and juice.
For fasting tests: Only plain water is allowed for 10-12 hours before the test. No tea, coffee, or juice. For non-fasting tests: Eat and drink normally. For cholesterol tests: Avoid fatty or fried foods the night before.
Early morning (6 AM - 9 AM) is ideal for fasting tests. Stop eating and drinking (except water) by 10 PM the previous night, then give your sample first thing in the morning.
Generally, you can take your regular medicines with water unless your doctor advises otherwise. If you're on blood thinners, diabetes medication, or thyroid medicine, consult your doctor about timing.

Reports
Most routine test reports (CBC, Sugar, Thyroid, LFT, KFT, etc.) are delivered within 24 hours. Some specialized tests may take 48-72 hours. Culture and sensitivity tests take 3-5 days.
Reports are sent as PDF to your registered email and WhatsApp number. You can also download them from the Healthians app. Hard copies can be arranged on request.

About Common Tests
CBC measures 24 blood parameters including Red Blood Cells, White Blood Cells, Hemoglobin, Platelets, and more. It helps detect infections, anemia, blood disorders, and overall health status. Price: ₹220. No fasting required.
HbA1c (Glycated Hemoglobin) measures your average blood sugar level over the past 2-3 months. It's the gold standard for diabetes monitoring. Normal: below 5.7%, Pre-diabetic: 5.7-6.4%, Diabetic: 6.5% and above. Price: ₹166. No fasting required.
Thyroid Profile (T3, T4, TSH) checks how well your thyroid gland is working. Thyroid controls metabolism, energy, and weight. Abnormal levels can cause fatigue, weight changes, and mood issues. Price: ₹204. No fasting required.
